BROWNING XB2 MCM 308 WIN 24"

Overview
If you appreciate the ruggedness of composite but pine over the beauty of wood, the new X-Bolt 2 McMillan LR WHD is your rifle. This sharp-looker features Wood Hydrographic Decoration (WHD) on a composite McMillan Game Scout stock, giving the appearance of a matte finished Turkish walnut with the weatherproof toughness you want in a hunting rifle.

McMillan is highly regarded in the rifle world as a supplier of premium stocks. The Game Scout is one of their best selling stocks, constructed from a rugged fiberglass composite material and precision machined for an exact fit. Machined-in aluminum pillars ensure the action fits perfectly. Bedding at the action screws and recoil lug free floats the barrel for consistent accuracy. Versatility is key for the Game Scout design, with the trim lines of a fine hunting stock coupled with the vertical grip and wider fore-end of a benchrest rifle. A premium Pachmayr Decelerator pad soaks up felt recoil.

The rifle has barrel specifications that make it an excellent choice for both hunting and long-range practice sessions. The lengths of the fluted heavy sporter contour barrels have been optimized and run 28#x34; longer than standard lengths (to a maximum of 268#x34;) for added bullet velocities. The muzzle is threaded 5/88#x34;-24 and is ready for use with an optional suppressor. The McMillan LR WHD includes a Recoil Hawg muzzle brake and thread protector cap. The action is bedded and the barrel is free floated for consistent accuracy.

The smooth cycling X-Bolt 2 receiver is finished in a non reflective matte black that contrasts with the matte gray stainless steel barrel. The spiral fluted bolt is operated using an extended handle and features the same 60-degree bolt throw for faster cycling. The barreled action, combined with the striking finish on the stock, make for a premium look that is ably complemented by tack-driving accuracy.

NOTE: Unless specifically listed as included with a firearm, accessories shown such as scopes, optical sights, rings, ring mounts, optic rails, bipod rails, ammunition, etc. are NOT included. Accessories are available at authorized Browning dealers and here on Browning.com.
